SHUMC SOLAR PROJECT – THERE IS NO COST TO THE CHURCH.
The new solar system is beginning to take shape. Underground boring for wiring is complete and the canopy structures are beginning to appear. The entire system should be completed by mid-July. The cost of the system is paid through energy savings and there are no loans. No negative impact to the general budget. It is projected that we should save about $10,000 per year over the next twenty-one years from what we would normally pay to APS during this time. The Congregation will also have about 60 shaded parking spaces to enjoy.
