 Social Ministries
Friendship Adds Fun to Life One of the joys of belonging to a church is making new friends. We encourage you to explore any of our social group ministries. A Church feels more like home when you find a place to belong.
Family Life Dinners-The 4th Friday of the month (October-April) at 5:30 PM you are invited to a catered dinner, cost $11 per person. Following dinner we always have a wonderful entertaining program.
Friendship Groups - Most everyone at Shepherd of the Hills UMC is part of a Friendship Group. These groups meet in homes, or in restaurants for fun, food and fellowship.
Sheepherder's Trips-The Sheepherders are a group of people who plan bus trips for our church. We might go to a dinner theater to enjoy a play, or take a trip to watch the leaves change color.
Performing Arts Series-Our church hosts a concert series. They are held on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 PM for a nominal donation. The guest artists are musicians of the highest quality. For an enjoyable afternoon join us for a concert-October-April.
Fine Arts Committee-Our church is blessed with many talented people. At the east end of the Fellowship Hall we have a display of artwork: paintings, sculpture, weavings, that our members create. Stop by and enjoy the beauty created.
Activity Groups-we offer a variety of activity-related fun: golf, bowling, card groups.
