Dear former/current Stephen Minister,

If you are a current or former Stephen Minister, the Care Team would like you to join us on May 22nd at 1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall Meeting Room. Caring for our members and friends at times when they need support has been a priority at Shepherd. We will continue to be faithful in responding to this call that you have answered at some point. We have spent time in praying and discerning the most effective ways to carry on, the ministry you have been doing for many years at Shepherd of the Hills, and are looking forward to have a conversation with as many of you as possible. If you think you can come, please let us know by calling our office or by using the sign in forms located outside of the office and at the Welcoming Kiosk.

Blessings Always

Rev. Alma Aguirre-Olivares

“Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2

STEPHEN MINISTRY But I call to God, and the Lord saves me.  Psalm 55:16

Many of you may see Stephen Ministers as assistants with Holy Communion on First Sunday Services.  However, they are much, much more.  A Stephen Minister is a child of God who walks beside a hurting person, a caring Christian friend who really listens, and a lay person who has received 50 hours of training in how to provide distinctively Christian care.
