A message from the Senior Pastor
We have a strong Pastoral team as well as many dedicated laypersons on our staff along with a host of volunteers. We have a strong Health and Welfare Program, along with a Stephen Ministry as well a ministry of nurturing and caring through our Parish Nurse. Music is also a very important part of ministry at SHUMC. Here you will find a variety of inspiration through our choir, instrumentalists, and our Bell Choir. We strive for an inclusive program that will meet the needs of anyone who walks through our doors. You will always find the welcome mat ready. We invite you to visit us and be in ministry with us when in the area. We invite all persons who enter this Web Site to be with us in prayer as we reach out to those in need of healing, guidance, and spiritual uplift. My wife, Jane, and I moved to the southwest from upstate New York in 1978. Most recently I have been appointed to Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church. Here you will find a Christ centered church; you will hear the Bible being preached; you will be invited to Bible studies, prayer studies, and spiritual uplifting seminars.
